About SVARC
Preserving history and advancing amateur radio in the Scioto Valley.
The Scioto Valley A.R.C. was founded in 1959 to promote amateur radio activity in southern Ohio. 66 years later, the club is still active in promoting the hobby and providing communications to the Scioto River Valley. Monthly club meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm with Elmers Night being held every 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings and Elmers Night are open to the public and are normally held at the clubhouse located in Scioto Trails State Forest, Chillicothe, Ohio during the spring, summer and fall unless posted otherwise on its Facebook Page. Normally through the winter period, Elmer’s nights and meetings are held at the Pike County Airport, EMA building
